# What is Shark Protocol?

Shark Protocol (or Shark) is an innovative price prediction application built on the Migaloo Chain. It was designed to address one of the major issues faced by price prediction applications while leveraging the power of decentralization and automation. Shark's price prediction application demonstrates how it is possible to integrate **DeFi, gaming, fun, and social interactions.** Throughout this document, we will highlight how these elements are reflected within Shark Protocol.
